non-profit development

Kid Power-DC is an example of one of the great non-profit organizations I got to work with in my spare time while living in Washington, DC.
At the core of what they do is serve underprivileged students at DC public schools with after school and summer camp programs.
I came on board at the request of the executive director who was interested in expanding the reach of the organization. Working with the executive director, the board of directors and Kid Power’s staff, I helped set up a development operation that could work with businesses and the community to secure a larger and more diversified base of contributions.
By creating a signature branding and outreach strategy, Kid Power has been able to expand its reach, move into its own office and continues to flourish in the DC community.
